Ben Peel

Ben is EM Consulting’s Lead Programme Manager. His expert knowledge and skills in the field of short food supply chain management and Dynamic Food Procurement are brought to the role. He leads internal and client facing projects with the support of his experienced team. These include scoping and designing software and developing bespoke client programmes. Ben’s work is enhanced by his wider experience outside of Dynamic Food Procurement, having led agency market research teams in Bristol and London with clients including Mitchells & Butler and Lloyds Banking Group. He has led short supply chain logistics teams, been a chef in an award-winning restaurant and trained chefs for the Liberation Pub group. He has also worked on a farm as a grower. These experiences have provided Ben with an outstanding overview and insight into food chain production and have also inspired a dedication to facilitating lasting change within the industry.

Stephen Plume

Stephen is emfood’s IT system and architecture consultant. He has been either leading or contributing to AgileChain’s development and implementation since 2013. He specialises in the interface between existing client technology, AgileChain and third party systems. The breadth of projects undertaken at EM have allowed him to investigate, design and deliver seamless and stable APIs. Stephen is an IT expert with over twenty years of technology experience across the financial (including 8 years at Credit Suisse), transport, travel and food industries.

Mathieu Dreyfus

Mathieu has over 23 years of commercial software experience working with clients of all shapes and sizes to understand their needs and requirements, tailor support and position software platforms to meet their needs. Having worked in various domains such as business service management, mobile transformation, cyber security, infrastructure management and start up support Mathieu is well placed to act as emfood’s Client Requirements Analyst. His strong sales methodology background is in addition to positions in consulting, sales, sales management, channels and alliances.

Rich Osborn

Rich is a recognised leader in the field of Dynamic Food Procurement and sustainable food strategy, having spent almost a decade working hand in hand with a range of UK and overseas government departments. His leadership has delivered unprecedented momentum for a re-write of the way food is procured and supplied globally. Rich founded Equilibrium Markets in 2013 and launched fresh-range, the online retail arm of the business, in 2014. Since then, he has led the delivery of strategic innovation in the food supply chain via the development of proprietary AgileChain technology. In 2018 he also became the Non-Executive Director for Farm Wilder, a wildlife first sustainable farming project. Rich has 25+ years’ experience in general management and commercial leadership roles, leading businesses from start up through to >$1Billion turnover and organisations with 1000+ employees. During a 16 year career at Procter & Gamble, Rich worked as Commercial Director for Europe and Managing Director for France and the UK, leading businesses and organisations across 27 markets in Europe, Middle East & Africa..

Paul Jefferies

Paul is an experienced innovation and transformation consultant with over 20 years’ experience in delivering complex change and change assurance to clients in a variety of high-technology sectors. Paul has held various leadership roles in industry, worked as technology sales lead for a leading SaaS service provider and lead multiple service lines for a tier 1 consulting firm delivering year on year growth.

Paul’s passion for sustainability and sustainable business is born out of his desire to bring about meaningful and lasting change for clients, balancing the three dimensions of profit, people and planet. Paul is assisting emfood as an associate Partner, reviewing key aspects of the technology and consulting process and developing strategic partnerships in programme delivery and oversight as needed..

Tracey King

"Tracey is a specialist in the management of primary producer financial transactions. She has led the financial processes at the heart of EM’s Dynamic Food Procurement projects since 2017. The timely flow of cash from participant to participant is a feature of AgileChain that makes participation possible for SME producers. Tracey has led and worked with EM to develop the necessary innovation to automate more of the financial processes involved in short chains which, vitally, brings value and savings to each member of the chain. Tracey additionally brings fifteen years prior experience in accountancy for brands such as Hallmark."

Nikolay Zhelyazkov

As EM’s Head of Engineering, Nikolay has been leading the technical team behind the development of AgileChain since 2015. He drives the vision, design, strategy and implementation of integrated web systems in order to support the business. While primarily focussing on the next iteration of AgileChain he is accessible to liaise with client-side tech teams to train and facilitate their understanding of the supporting technology behind Dynamic Food Procurement.
